It's a good wind muff!
Ok, it is a tight fit but it does the job and it does it well. I've some very expensive wind muffs which I've used on professional recording equipment through the years and for the price this does as good a job as they do. I'm really pleased with it. Recommended!

Effective
Particularly important to me is the fact that this fits comfortably over the twin mics on my Olympus LS10 as I could not find replacements to fit them individually.

Makes a great comedy moustache
Getting it on my recorder is a two man job as it’s like fitting a hog into a wetsuit without lubrication. That said I am sure it will do the job

Good piece of kit
Arrived ahead of time, looks great and works even better,Using as part of an ASMR recording setup, this allows me additional sound options while keeping a good sound quality overall, would highly recommend.

So easy to use
Love it recorded two tracks, one 10db lower incase of clipping.

It sits on my tascam, has a little elastic thing to keep it in place.It does reduce wind noise.Not completely but it is a significant amount. Only thing is the headphone output is hard to get to and the direct input you can no longer use, by why would you when you are recording with the microphones?

Very tight fit

fits the DR40x....BUT
it's very tedious to get on and you cant have the microphone in wide mode because the muff slams them shut again, not a fault of the shield more the device not being able to lock them, but keep it in mind. it will block B-P-D-C sounds "ok" but the wind is still totally audible. it just doesn't clip the mic out, which I guess is the point. you also can barely plug in earphones to monitor recordings because of where the shield sits. overall. id recommend this product for voice usage, but to eliminate wind noise, this won't do the trick well. but tolerable. its definitely an imrpovement

Don’t really fit the device
Is not really well designed for the device. Falling away all the time and when in use you can’t open to stereo and hide some buttons
