Good for reptile eggs.
I currently have python eggs incubating with a 1:1 ratio with water in this vermiculite. This stuff holds humidity perfect. I guess that is exactly the point of it after all, huh?

Easily identifiable labels
I found the product easy to use and well labeled to answer my questions about whether it was exactly the type of material I was looking for. The material itself was a good consistency without it being too fine and prone to leaving dust. It is a tad expensive compared to other brands but I bought several bags because peace of mind is worth a few dollars more.

It was what I needed, and advertised
I purchased the 8 qt bag as I was unsure if I was going to receive what I ordered. One purchaser included a photo of what was in the bag, and I really appreciated the photo. It was delivered in the time stated, and it was course. I'm going to purchase the 1 cu ft. bag now that I know that this is course vermiculite. I couldn't find it anywhere in town. Lowes was the only retailer that sold it, but it was on back order...3 weeks out! This is hard to find in town.

Good product for a great price
Needed for substrate for mycology. The size is good and the vermiculite is nice and clean. The zip-top bag is very nice, too, and heavy enough to re-purpose when it's empty.

Buy it again? Of 'Course'.
There are different types of vermiculite. This is the 'course' kind that I was looking for, for sprouting seeds in my tower garden rock wool plugs. Other types are fine like sand. It came with far more than I need for that purpose, so I'll be using it to improve quality in pot and garden soil as well.

Great tarantula substrate (mixed with coco fiber) but also does wonders in the garden.
This worked great, I guess. It seems that the vermiculite holds moisture a lot more than regular potting mix.I currently am using this with a mixture of coco fiber to house my tarantula, and he's doing great. I assume this mix will work well in arid areas where you need your substrate to absorb water longer.

Great product.
Definitely worth the price. This is a great product. You can use it the same way you use pearlite, add it to your soil to make it less clumpy and improve the drainage and air flow. I use it this way and I also use it to help with sprouting. If you put your soil, seeds, water the seeds, then on the top only vermiculite and water that, you'll be amazed how much faster your seeds will sprout.

Love it!
I love this line of products! I have used so many of their organic products and have never been disappointed. I grow organic vegetables and mushrooms, along with annuals and perennials. This product is great for soil amending.
