These did the job during preparation of a pork shoulder and when I lifted it off the cooking grid.I put dish soap directly on the gripping surface to clean them when first out of the box. They wash easily (while I was wearing them), but due to the grip ribs rinsing takes time. I found it was best to scrub them under running water while wearing them. Otherwise, the ribs retain soap.They were insulated well enough to protect my hands during these short times I was holding the hot pork shoulder. I transferred it to a side table to wrap it in foil, then back to the smoker to finish cooking. Then after it was done, I picked it off the grid again to place it in a disposable aluminum foil pan to carry into the house. A better test would have been to carry it from the smoker into the kitchen. Maybe next time for that one.Insulated gloves need to be flexible enough that you are confident that you are gripping the pork shoulder as you should; so that you don’t lose your grip and drop it! These gloves have the flexibility needed.Only used them for one cook but I’m glad I bought them! I would have purchased permeable gloves and used nitrile gloves over them. But I did not find such gloves in my Amazon search. Anyway, for the low cost, I feel what I bought was a great value, and I recommend buying them. I’m happy that I did.

I love these gloves, they ARE NOT made of leather but they are sturdy and really heat resistant. Perfect for putting logs on the hot fire - I have no fear of getting burned, they are very protective. Great gloves, great deal.

Worked great for cooking chicken all day for a fundraiser. Was able to pick up and move around the chicken easily. Was able to touch the grills hot surface without getting burned. Gloves do have a rubbery smell when you get them, but what do you expect? Took off one star because the the cloth insulation would leave lint on hands after wearing gloves. Other than that worked great and the price was below the other gloves I reviewed. Not sure how long they may last, but so far so good. Overall good purchase.

They fit well and are just what I needed for BBQ / smoking. I can pull meat off the grill for wrapping, or when done with ease. Clean up is an easy as washing your hands with the gloves on. Nice heat resistance.

I purchased these for my husband to use when he smokes on the grill. He loves them. Says it is easier to be able to handle any meat he smokes and if he decides to shred for barbque it's so much easier to do by hand now.

They are heat resistant, perfect for getting stuff off of the smoker. They are a bit stiff and the fingers are a bit smaller but they work great!

I find these are so much more useful that the typical oven mitts. I use them for everything I put in the oven. Much easier handling of food. Great for flipping chicken or fries over.

I used my first pair of these gloves for two BBQ seasons. They're great for moving meat around the smoker, I don't feel the heat from the meat and my arms are protected. They really make a difference when turning big items like brisket, pork shoulder, whole turkey and rope sausage. In the kitchen they're great for shredding meat. Clean up is easy, I just put them on, squirt some dish soap and wash my hands, rubbing the gloves together like I do when washing my hands. The only reason I bought another (actually two) pair is I left them near my smoker after turning some meat (they get some fat and juice on them) and some critter made off with them.

Bought for cheese making, they have been great!

These are really good for big hands. Hold out the heat well and they're waterproof. They're kind of industrial looking but that's ok.

A must have for open campfire grilling .

I had a different brand that was more cloth like and silicone patterns on it for grip. That product was far better insulated, and started falling apart after 3 years. This one, the rubber on the thumbs and palm started disintegrating after a few months. Would never recommend
