My new summer drink!
I was skeptical that this would taste like real gin, but I’m on medication right now that doesn’t allow me to have alcohol and I’ve been missing my G&T’s. So glad that I gave Damrak a try! I keep both the Damrak and the tonic in the fridge to stay cold. I made my drink with ice, a good pour of Damrak Virgin, about 5oz Fever-Tree elderflower tonic water, a big squeeze of fresh lime juice, and finished it with a lime slice. Delicious, cold, and refreshing! I have found my new summer drink! Thank you for making such a great tasting alternative!

Flavorless and Unreturnable
This product received favorable reviews on a few websites. Maybe I got a bad batch? It is a disappointment. The level of flavor in the beverage is similar to dregs of a soft drink after all the ice has melted or a tea bag used for the second or third time. Oddly, it irritated my throat, too. I did not expect this to taste like real gin, but I did expect it to add interest to a mixed drink. Not possible. Of course, this product cannot be returned.

Not the best, not the worst
Okay, just hear me out. If you’re looking for gin flavor, do not drink this straight. Just don’t. It DOES work well for mocktails. I made a lemon drop martini with this and a Tom Collins and both tasted great. I would like to mimic another review and let you know that there’s not botanical flavors at all. Just citrus. So, just keep that in mind. That didn’t bother me much, but worth mentioning. I’m in the middle on this one, but it works well as a substitute while I heal from surgery but still want to have a cute lil cocktail!

Flavor is good for mocktails, but not very intense, so this gets expensive to use.
If you like Sapphire, with its citrus forward flavor profile, this fake gin is the closest match I've found, and I've tried about 1/2 dozen others so far. My only complaint is that it's expensive because the flavor is not terribly intense, so you can't skimp like you would with actual gin.

virGIN - Crisp, Clean, and Refreshing!
I had no idea that Non alcoholic liquors existed! I'm heading to Florida for the winter (from MN), sober 6 years now, and came across this.......I can't wait to enjoy a virGIN and Tonic with my friends down at the beach!! I've never been a fan of NA beer, but this is right up my alley. I'm excited for the classic Gin and Tonic, but this will also be great in simple sparkling water and a nice addition to a Ginger Beer. Overall very pleased with the taste, the botanicals this is distilled from make it very crisp, clean, and refreshing! Definitely recommend!

HORRIBLE TASTING AND HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTING!
Was so excited to try this, gin lover from way, way back-- before it was super trendy. Thought it would be a lovely idea for a lighter summer substitute for G & T. Read the reviews on a number of cocktail and food sites/blogs that I consult for research -- all sounded promising. What a disappointment! Not only is unthinkable as a substitute for gin (for anyone who actually enjoys gin!) but I am hard-pressed to imagine a use for this vile concoction. It tastes of nothing but citric acid, in fact it hits the back of your throat just like citric acid. I really wanted to like this, but it's just awful.

Nothing at all like gin
I wanted to try alcohol free "spirits" - one clear, one dark - just to see how they taste. I had no illusions that they would taste anything like liquor. But the idea of calling them "spirits" is marketing, not supported by the taste or mouth feel. They are more like tea, and lemonade. This particular alcohol free "gin" has an overwhelming flavor of citrus - no juniper, none of the botanicals one might expect for a gin like drink. And to me, the citrus isn't very good: it tastes more like citrus from a food chemistry laboratory than a natural fruit. It's fine in and of itself, if you have no expectations of it. And to me, grossly overpriced - there is nothing about this drink that is worth $26. I will not buy it again.

The Taste is Great!
I was surprised by how good this is! I'm not a cocktail expert but I enjoy a nice cocktail. This had the flavor, complexity, and heat that I was looking for in a non-alcoholic spirit alternative. The lingering warmth in the aftertaste almost tricks you into thinking you're drinking alcohol. I've made delicious margaritas, Mexican mules, and Palomas with this Damrak Virgin product and have been very pleased! Perfect for pregnancy or just when you want to cut back on alcohol but still enjoy a tasty, sophisticated beverage. I love how the product page here gives you recipes to try also.Recommended!!
