The Secret in Sandcastles (A Poppy Creek Novel Book 3)

This is such a sweet, magical, romantic, adorable, swoony read. The fireworks between Colt and Penny were non stop throughout the book. Every adventure they go through together brought them even closer and more attracted to each other. Their many fears become less strong and less important. Understanding more about each other's situation helped grow their love for one another. The support and help of so many mutual friends also helped with their love story. At the end of the story they decided to follow their hearts and one ended up giving up a dream he thought he wanted and she decided to support her man by doing something surprising and sweet.

Each book gets better and better. Each with a beautifully written story worthy of Hallmark television.Penny is an eclectic individual who owns an antique shop. Her shop is a vision of the woman she is. She is eccentric and unique in every way. She is beautiful inside and out.Colt is adventurous and determined not to plant roots in one place too long. But it seems a certain unique woman, whom he has teased and taunted for years has put a kink in his plans. So when Frank needs assistance Colt jumps on the opportunity to stay in Poppy Creek a little longer.Overall this is a beautiful story. A page turner till the end. It has a wonderful set of characters living in a small town. Each character has a unique story and the author does a wonderful job writing them. Her books are laid out to perfection and flow seamlessly. I can’t wait to read more.

Colt and Penny drew my attention in the previous books so I was anxious to read their story. The way they came across like oil and water was thrilling to anticipate how their love story would play out.While there were parts that felt a bit sluggish throughout the first half, the story picked up tremendously by the halfway point and really bloomed.Colt and Penny were great together and had one of the most memorable (so far) unions. Both struggling with issues stemming from the deaths of their fathers, they had more in common than they realized and it was endearing to watch them overcome those obstacles and find each other.Colt was an amazing hero. With his fun personality you expected him to be this carefree spirit but when he gets serious, it really resonates. Penny was a bit more closed off and rigid until she finally thawed out but her backstory really broke my heart. The circumstances surrounding her father made me understand her a little better.I'm pretty sure I know the direction the next book will go and I'm looking forward to it! Jack is another character in this fabulously sweet world of Bloome's that I can't wait to read about! I fell in love with these characters instantly and devour each new story with gusto! They are sweet and passionate without going over the line of intimacy so you can really focus on the love coming to life in front of your eyes. Well done Ms. Bloome! Now go finish Jack's story! ;-)

So much adventure and mystery by more than one person. Fears overcome and hearts healed. Enjoyed reading this sequel and the outcome still left you wondering, what's next.

I love this story too. Book 3 brings us back to Poppy Creek with characters from the 2 previous books, a couple of confirmed bachelor's, a wedding proposal, and a long lost sister. Like a good series novel, or soap opera, this book continues to book 4.

This was such a heart warming story of overcoming fears, learning to trust and discovering people can change. Family and friendships also played a big part in the overall story. How many of us can say that we have such a close relationship with our friends--real true friends who are there for us in good and bad times. Or a community that will come together to assist a neighbor in their time of need. Morales something we seem to be lacking at the moment. I look forward to read the chapter of the friends and family of Poppy Creek.

Back in October I read the first book, ‘The Clause in Christmas’, in this Poppy Creek series. I was so enamored with it, that I knew I had to read the rest of the books. This is the 3rd one and I’m still thoroughly enjoying this town and the wonderful people in it. This one is about Penny and Colt. Colt can’t stay in one place for long. He’s always looking for the next great adventure. Coming home for his brother Luke’s wedding brings him back in contact with Penny Heart. She’s the exact opposite of Colt. She’s not adventurous at all. But something about her makes him rethink his lifestyle. Maybe it’s really not what his dying father meant for him to do with his life. I’m completely hooked on this sweet, romantic series, I can’t wait to dive into the next one and escape reality for awhile. Well done!

If only... Romance is just out of reach. Penny is too afraid. Her father taught her well - be safe, stay safe, consider the circumstances. Then along come Colt, a daredevil, a nicer and shaker. But Penny has stolen hiss heart, can he change her's? Beautiful story. Great job. Thank you.
