K&N Replacement Air Filter Conical 70mm flange 146mm base 151mm top 195mm height (E9289)

Filter turned up quicker than expected but unfortunately it has slight damage and it's the wrong one. Still fits car. It's just not the one with the removable cap it's K&N E-2993.In a E-9289 box with security seal which leads me the think either somebody in the k&n factory messed up putting a wrong part in box resulting in paying £75 for a £55 part.or this is a fake. Definitely won't buy car parts from Amazon again nor recommend them when I order performance parts for my car I expect them to be the parts ordered. Especially when this is a vital part not only to keep dirt out but to ensure the engine runs correctly. Typically like most people I ordered a new filter because I needed it, so it's in the car until I order the correct part from a actual car parts site.

Bought to replace a paper filter, this dropped straight into the existing filter box, no need to pay for the expensive fancy (pointless?) K&N air box. I drive without the bung in, certainly makes the car louder (not what i intended but it's not a chav racer sound at least! just more throaty) and I've noticed the car is much more efficient over the last few fills. Not sure if any extra power, hard to tell, and in any case I don't use for racing so doesn't really matter.Should save money over time instead of replacing paper ones regularly.

This filter is available as part of a kit from K&N, but you are really paying about £100 more for a plastic cover with K&N embossed in it. The original Ford cover works just as well and by some reports is a lot easier to fit.Would highly recommend....makes a lovely sound too

not tried this with the end cap off, so not sure how it would sound or perform, with it on its a little noisier not loud tho,Mpg getting exactly the same with this filter as i did with the stock paper filter.Performance hard to tell very little difference maybe slightly sharper throttle responce but then it also gives the odd flat spot.Would i buy one again ? probably not, stock air filters are £7 a pop you could change your stock filter once a year for 7 years for the price of this and i still have to buy a cleaning kit as this needs to be cleaned periodically.

It was about time to change air filter in my car so I choose this one. The difference is obvious since the old filter was very dirty already but I think this filter gives engine more needed air at lower revs and the car sounds great. Easy maintenance and lifetime warranty convinces to replace the classic filter at the next service check.
