Excellent service from Little Wolds Country Clothing
The Hoggs Thor Rigger boots appear to be well made, welted waterproof and comfortable safety boots that should, if looked after, last for years. I purchased from Little Wolds - upon the basis of their informative and truthful advertising, plus additionally their keen pricing as compared to other suppliers. Royal Mail were used for delivery and they were 6 days late from the time they had provided. I know there are problems with badly treated delivery drivers, Covid and Brexit. So in the light of that - best Royal Mail not be so ambitious with their estimated delivery times. Little Wolds service in this matter was excellent - as they immediately sent me a replacement pair of boots. No arguments - superb service !

Haven’t had stuff from Hoggs in years but the quality and comfort seems to be the same as it use to be … will see how they stand up to everyday use but have high hopes

Terrible and uncomfortable
Boots look great, however these are possibly the most uncomfortable work boot I've ever had. The lining inside has a thick stichline behind whete your heel sits. This constant annoyance makes them uncomfortable and also unbearable. Unfortunately iv had mine over a month now so wont be able to return but id like to warn others to not bother at all.

About half to one size bigger than expected
Most rigger boots dont last me more than several months before falling to bits but these Hoggs may last nearer a year. I cant fault the leather uppers, but the sole bonding becomes a bit of a weak point.I found the boots practical lifetime ends when the lining comes away from the leather uppers making it almost impossible to extract your foot. I've found if you stand in water that comes over the tops, then your soggy foot/ sock will haul that lining away from the uppers even sooner. This is my second pair. Over the years I've had several other dearer makes that weren't near as good and seen cheaper ones that are just rubbish.I've always believed Hoggs of Fife to be quality. Being a crofter and on the go all day , my boots have a tough time of it, obviously if I'm intentionally in deep mud or water I'll wear wellies but these Hoggs rigger boots are great all rounders for all other times.
