I got the Vanilla powder. Have successfully replaced lunches with this shaken up with water. Doesn't fully Suppress Hunger but not bad at all. Taste is OK to Good. would recommend

was a better idea than fasting since I still want nutrients and ...
KETO DIET USER REVIEW: I'm going to try to give as informative a review as possible here, as I pondered for about a week product to purchase between this and other similar products.I bought this product as I am currently on a ketogenic diet but my weight loss had started to plateau, and I thought a meal replacement shake in lieu of, say, breakfast, was a better idea than fasting since I still want nutrients and something to make me feel full. I had narrowed my choice down to about 4 products which were suitably low in carbs, but eventually opted for this one as it seemed the least full of nasty stuff like high-GI sweeteners (I'm looking at you, maltodextrine). The taste is exactly as it says on the tin (tub?). Be warned, this kind of vanilla is not the flavourful bourbon vanilla you might encounter in extracts, it's more the cheap supermarket vanilla icecream kind of vanilla. And that's exactly what this tastes like - melted icecream in a cup. Perhaps that's palatable to some... but I wouldn't elect it as flavour of the year. That's not to say it was unpalatable though. It was actually fine. It wasn't at all chalky, either, which I hear is a common problem in some shakes. It was too sickly sweet, in my opinion, however I found that if you mix in 2tsp or so of cacao powder with every scoop, the bitterness of the cacao helps take the edge off of the sweetness and make it much nicer. Like a chocolate McD's milkshake. I also find that adding a bunch of icecubes and blending it will further dilute the sweetness still, while retaining the flavour (and getting me to drink more liquids), and being more like a thick american milkshake. So, the way I take it now is as follows:300ml Cashew Milk (Due to low carbs)1 scoop powder~2tsp cacao powder, to taste~10 ice cubesNow, for the effects. I was a little disappointed after first having the shake. Although not specifically earmarked as a meal-replacement shake, the specification page does recommend replacing 1-2 meals with this stuff. This made me believe that is must give fair amounts of satiety after drinking one, otherwise you're essentially starving for 2/3 of a day. However, I felt no fuller after drinking 600ml of this shake as I do drinking 600ml of water. I had hoped this would be able to carry me to lunchtimes without feeling the need to pick at foods, but alas it was not to be.As for the weight-loss effects, I can't really comment as a) I've not been supplementing with this shake long enough yet and b) am on a diet already which could be or not be the result of any weight loss I experience. I am not a believer of all these superfood magical weight loss ingredients like Acai berry etc, rather I believe this shake would help me lose weight simply by providing me with one meal replacement per day with less calories and carbs than I'd have otherwise. The last thing I wanted to comment on is the protein content. I don't exercise (because of sheer laziness), so I did not want a shake with a high protein content as I am not in any way trying to build muscle mass. Too much protein on ketogenic diets can be detrimental to weight-loss effects as large excesses of protein are broken down into glycogen (which is essentially a storage version of glucose), and so can throw you out of ketosis. However, despite all my searching, I could not find a shake with low carbs, low protein and high fats, which would have more appropriate for me. I suppose keto products haven't quite taken off yet. Anyway, I don't count carbs/macros, and I don't think the amount of protein in this shake would be enough to throw me out of ketosis if combined with a meaty evening meal, but I am being cautious nonetheless i.e. veg-only lunch, meat in evenings. All in all:Flavour and consistency fairly nice with a little tweaking and blending.Does not provide satiety more than drinking other liquids. Not great as a meal replacement for a sedentary lifestyle in my opinion. I'd recommend a smoothie and some psyllium husk instead. Fantastic, however, if you're exercising to make use of the protein content, and don't mind being a little hungry before your next meal.

Not a nice flavour
Been using SlimZest for a while but usually chocolate flavour. However chocolate was sold out so I thought I'd try strawberry instead. The flavour is sweet and sickly and leaves a relatively long lasting after taste which isn't pleasant. It also clumps up, even if shaken and mixed for a long time. This doesn't happen with the chocolate flavour. It is a good product however, very low calories with high protein count (especially compared to other shakes on the market). But chocolate is the best tasting one out of the two by far!

Great value, lovely taste
So after being on SlimFAST shakes for 1 month I decided to change to another meal replacement shake because Slimfast contains 38 grams of carbs 20 of which are sugars! I thought that's way to high sugars for a diet shake, so I searched Amazon for a shake with low sugar, then I found SlimZest milkshake with under 2 grams of carbs 1.8 of which is sugar. After reading reviews I decided to try it and bought two tins of chocolate flavour shakes with a promotional discount of £10 getting 60 servings worth of shakes for only £30, now today I have just received them and they are twice the size of slimfast tins, a heavy weight aswell I was pretty impressed, so i couldn't wait and decided to try one on the spot, now I've read in reviews that with water it can be powdery, so I tried one scoop with 250ml water and yes indeed it was powdery and very thick, I can't stand powdery milkshakes so I added 250ml milk with the 250ml milkshake water and it was perfect, I have to say that one scoop with 250ml milk and 250ml water is enough to fill me, the taste is great and I think two scoops would be too rich for me, the powdery texture was still there a tiny bit but not enough to bother me, I chose chocolate because I can make hot chocolate with it on cold days, I would say that yes slimfast tastes better but I'd rather choose SlimZest because of its low sugar content I highly recommend trying this shake but have it with half water and half milk, if you have a blender then it probably wouldn't be powdery at allEDIT: Although I stick to everything I say, for me personally the powdery taste is just too much and sadly I have returned the items :( if you are a person who cant handle powdery taste then this item is not for you
