Great convertor for Cross fountain pen
Great convertor for Cross fountain pen - good price. Does the job. Have several for different colours of ink.

Not as good as Waterman's
Not sure why this product is listed as a toy, but there we go.So obviously this converter is for Cross Townsend pens, but the comparison I draw is to my old Waterman pen and its converter. In many senses, it does what it needs to - it plugs in, sucks ink and allows it to be drawn out again during normal use.My only real disappointment is the air gap - with my old Waterman, when it sucked ink, it was full. Any air bubble could be flicked to the top, pushed out and refilled with ink. By comparison, it is difficult to get this converter more than 2/3 full of ink. It's not really a problem - I quite enjoy filling the pen, but it is an annoyance when my (broad nib) pen doesn't make it through a long meeting.

Converted my Cross cartridge pen to a fountain pen perfectly
I won a Cross cartridge pen in a crossword competition. The pen was a cartridge version and I wanted to use as a fountain pen. Previous fountain config adapters I've had on various different pens have relied on squeezing a rubber ink sac to draw up ink into the reservoir and have generally involved a couple of squeezes to get sensible amount of ink and almost inevitably ended up with general inkiness on fingers or desktop. This design costs more, but uses a piston in the barrel and a screw to draw ink into the reservoir. Much more reliable, generally less messy and quick to use. Worth the money with a very nice pen.

Did not work well, now abandoned
First time round this left a big air gap in the converter and meant the pen was only half full of ink. Second time it simply doesn't suck the ink up -- the fit on the pen is very poor and the tiny amount of ink that comes up is mostlu in the nib. I was unable to use this more than twice and it is now three months since purchase so not returnable. Very disappointed after my last Cross pen worked very well.
