Very powerful IR signal.
Worked first time. Remote for LG HIFI installed and working in 5 mins. Excellent. Very light weight device. Advise sticking a rubber pad to the base to stop it being pulled off a shelf by the USB lead.

An extra star for the price
As other reviews have pointed out, the manual is poorly written, but it's not hard to work out. It's only really a three star product because although the device works flawlessly, the app is quite poor, with limited button layout templates and no option to create your own - that means that for something like a virgin media remote you will be missing some of the shortcut buttons and/or using multiple screens for one remote, using buttons for things other than their icon and label suggest. I've not tried the full website yet to see if there's a way to create them there, but given what the mobile website looks like I'm not hopeful. Having said all that, this was well under twenty quid, so still represents great value if you're happy to use your phone for the basics.

Amazing functionality for the price, but the instructions are poor
Manual is rubbish so I didn't bother with it. Its basically fluent 'Chinglish'.If you're fairly tech savvy then you don't need it anyway and there are a couple of guides on Youtube anyway.Learned a modern Sony TV and ceiling fan in minutes. Saved me 20 quid on just getting another IR ceiling fan alone.Far better than other solutions that I have bought previously like the GLOBAL CACHE WF2IR ITACH WIFI TO IR (INFRARED CONTROL) which costs over £120!The App takes a little getting used to but its pretty configurable and allows youto create your own phone app touch screens. You can also create a custom shortcut on Android so you can directly controlthe relevant device from your home screens. I think non tech savvy people will struggle a bit, which lets it down butif your patient with it, its definitely worth the effort IMO. At this cost its an absolute straight 5 stars.Note, Initially I had to reset the RM3 before it was recognised. This is done via the usual small hole on the back of the unit and a pin.Connect to the device directly via its own Access Point, configure access to your home WiFi and then start learning the App.It definitely takes some getting used to but I'm so glad that I did.I've attached a screenshot of my IR fan controller scene which I knocked up via the app in about 5 minutes. I'm no Picasso but it works!

Cheap, functional, old skool button setup in UK
I ignored the manual and guessed my way thru configuration. I assume some licensing is required for configuration of your devices and UK market hasn't been paid for. Every button you want mapped requires you to push it on your old remote whilst aiming at the device. Then the android app asks if it worked. Then into the next button.... No database style like the Harmony. Then again, the Harmony is approx £90. It did what it was supposed to do. I have a FoxSat in the loft and it controls it over WiFi. boom!!! It looks like I can customise button images but I don't mind. It was funny that the default button images for a topset box were more limited than a default TV.... Why 4 stars? It's cheap.... It lost one for having to press all my remote buttons... Gah!

Another great product badly executed!
This could be so good....Control anything that has an IR remote from your phone, anywhere in the world! and it does it well! However if your in the UK, you cant use Alexa ;( fingers crossed they will get it availalbe as a UK Skill but until then 2 'n' a bit stars!
