The GOOD- This cream was lighter than I expected. It seemed to absorb on my face so that it did not look greasy or heavy. My skin looked a little blurred after application and seemed like it could have glow-y positive benefits for the complexion. The perfume smell of the cream was very strong in the bottle but a little lighter on my skin. The smell reminded me of a French perfume with a hint of a vegetal smell. If you like perfumes and the smells of traditional scented night creams this will likely not be an issue for you.The BAD- The perfume smell was very persistent for me and not very natural. It was strong enough that I could not mask the smell with other serums or products over it. I could not sleep while wearing this cream and it gave me a headache. I found myself washing it off my face at 2am, so I will not be using this product again.

It’s clean and soothing as I drift off to sleep.=> It absorbs well into my skin and doesn’t leave it greasy.=> It doesn’t rub off onto my pillowcase, or at least it’s not apparent.=> You only need a small amount, and it feels luxurious.=> Another reviewer said it dried her face, but I didn’t have any drying. In fact, although I’ve only used it for 3 days before bed, I haven’t noticed any difference at all in my skin.Comments from me -It just smells like cold cream to me. It definitely has a light scent, and it’s not objectionable, but it’s not something I would look forward to smelling.As far as ordering again, I probably wouldn’t. Unless my wife actually notices some difference in her skin, it’s just too expensive.I hope this helps.

I've long seen the Clarins counter at high-end department stores and know that it is a reputable brand. However, until now, I don't recall ever trying any Clarins products. While I generally prefer to use a fragrance-free night cream because these are safer for my sensitive skin, I am open to and have tried many that have a scent. I have liked some of them. For that reason, I was eager to try this Multi-Active Renewing Night Moisturizer. I was impressed with the hygienic packaging in which the jar arrived -- sealed tightly inside of a branded box, which was also totally sealed. I opened the jar with anticipation and took a tentative sniff. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers who noted the overpowering fragrance. This cream smells like perfume. I don't find it unpleasant, but I do find the strength of the scent to be way too much. it would be foolish of me, knowing the limits of my own skin (and nose) to put this cream on my face, let alone for an entire night. For this reason, I'll never know whether or not it is effective.

I am always on the lookout for solid anti-aging products. I am happy with this new night cream from Clarins. It has a smooth texture and doesn't make my skin feel oily. I do feel like it makes my skin more hydrated and smoother. It does have a very strong fragrance, which is not my favorite. I prefer my skin care to be fragrance free. The smell is not unpleasant, but is very present. I've used this at night for a few weeks now, and my skin feels nice and plump, and my fine lines feel like they've reduced slightly. I will continue to use this product!
