I needed to stop drill a crack in the canopy of my RV-7 airplane. I practiced using these drill bits and also using a "hot nail" method on a piece of scrap acrylic. The "hot nail" method still required the use of something to take away the expelled material from the hole. What did I use? The drill bit(s). Overall, I felt much more comfortable using the drill bits to stop drill the crack. I could precisely put the bit at the point I wanted to make the hole rather than with the nail. Be patient with the drill bit and let it slowly do the work for you. You can periodically pull the bit from the hole to clean the bit and the area of excess material. I then used the larger bit to chamfer the edge to make a smooth entry. They worked very well and I am very pleased with the result.

Would not recommend for aluminum or any other metal. They will break after only a few uses in metal.

The drill bits work really well but the threads don't seem to quite line up when i try to put a bolt in. not sure if i'm using the wrong bolt or if the bits messed up

I received this quickly through Amazon, and used one drill/tap bit to see how well they work, it worked as advertised with ease and am happy that I purchased this for my 'tool arsenal'.

I try one on metal and broke right away....i guess they are made for making threads on wood....so disapointed

Awesome tool

I bought these to add to my arsenal of drill bits and, again, I am not disappointed in the quality. They are nice and sharp and perfect for wooden projects (or other soft materials) and they tap at the same time which is great! As I upcycle old furniture, this set is great for reducing labour.As mentioned in previous reviews of this manufacturer, I have lost faith in the usual branded products as they have failed me (her him ... Bosch). on quality and choice. These work fine with my Bosch drill and have never let me down. I’ll be keeping my eye out for more types of bit from these guys.

They were not that great, far to soft and snap far to easily. Sadly they are all in the bin now.

Brocas para hacer rosca para tornillo, son de acero y sirven para maderas, materiales y metales blandos como aluminio.Probé con acero engrasando mientras y salió bien, pero te arriesgas a que se rompa ya que no es su fin.En definitiva si se usa para los materiales que es, va genial. El material es de buena calidad, sin ser excelente. No lo he probado en metales gruesos, pero para chapas está bien.No tiene pinta de que vayan a durar mucho trote, pero por el precio para bricolaje, maderas y pequeñas cuestiones de un "tuercas cualquiera" como yo es más que suficiente.Vienen presentadas en un pequeño estuche de plástico con cierre a presión.100% RECOMENDABLEEspero que mi comentario te sea útil.Saludos.

Besonders gefällt mir das einfache und Wechselfreie Arbeiten. Sicher kein Produkt für den Metallbauer aber im Hobby und auch im SemiProfi bereich durchaus einsetzbar. Das zu bohrende Material sollte nicht zu hart sein, aber Bleche auch in 3 oder 4 mm, Kunststoffe u.a. lassen sich damit gut bearbeiten. Nicht zu schnell bohren, Fester Stand des Materials und des Bohrers sind wichtig, am besten eine Standbohrmaschine. Aber auch mit dem Akkuschrauber konnte ich schon gute Ergebnisse erzielen. Sehr praktisch ist die Dose in der die Bohrer geliefert werden, so fliegen die nicht durch den Werkzeugkoffer.
