I love this hat!!! It's surprisingly inexpensive, extremely comfortable to wear, and it gives you full coverage from the sun for your face and the back of your neck. The fit was just right for me! The wide brim didn't come too far forward for my face, where it would obstruct my view when walking. The extra fabric covered the back of my neck completely.I was a bit worried that the fabric was too thin. But it was perfect when under the sun for long periods of time, as it didn't feel like it was trapping the heat on my head and neck. Sometimes, when I wear hats made with thicker fabric or straw-like material, it gets so hot underneath that I'm forced to take my hat off. But before I can do that, I scramble to get under a shaded area, so that I don't get any sun damage while cooling off. I didn't feel hot wearing this hat.A feature that I was specifically looking for was a hat that has a chin strap, as I've lost many hats to the wind. The best part is that the chin strap isn't a permanent fixture for this hat. It's completely removable! The hat is still very comfortable to wear even with the chin strap attached to the hat.An interesting feature is that you can stick your ponytail through a hole in the back of the hat. It's best to wear your ponytail lower, where it's closer to the nape of your neck. It actually secures the hat to your head pretty well, and you may not need to wear the chin strap if you stick your ponytail through.Although the hat cannot be folded to a smaller size, it's so light to carry around. If you have a wide or long purse, you can easily pack it in there, and not worry about bending the brim.I'd definitely repurchase this hat. I'm very pleased with the navy blue color of the hat, and the red and white colored pattern under the brim. It matches many items in my wardrobe. But I'm actually thinking of getting a lighter color, where I can wear it with more of my dresses and skirts. Living in southern California, where the sun is out and the days are really hot, wearing these kinds of sun hats are a necessity!

I work 10 hour days as a landscaper for my city near Denver, CO where the UV index is often 11-12 (Today it says "Extreme risk of harm"). I'm very pale; my foundation color is whatever the lightest one is at the makeup counter. As you might imagine my standards for sun protection are pretty high. I've forgotten to put sunscreen (I wear 70+spf) on my face once at work and only got the slightest amount of pink on my cheeks and none on my forehead. You still need sunscreen, but not nearly as much. The skirt around the back is one of my favorite features. I have broad brimmed hats I've worn to work and the back of my neck still gets way too much sun, but the skirt covers it completely. No weird farmers tans for me! If you're hiking and have a backpack it doesn't bang into it behind you, which is great. I cannot recommend this hat enough for sun protection. Plus, it's cute and makes me feel pretty even when I'm elbo deep in weeds.The band tightening bow thing on the back is pretty meh, but between the chin strap and pulling my ponytail through the slit at the back it doesn't really matter.

This was a lightweight, flimsy hat which did not appear well made. I decided within a minute of wearing it that it wouldn’t work for me.The company was easy to work with re: facilitating the return. They actually had me mail it to a shelter (homeless?) in Utah which I thought was a nice touch. I had to pay for the return, however ($4.70). This was a first for me on Amazon. Not happy about that.This hat might work better for you than it did for me - but be prepared to pay the return shipping cost if it doesn’t.

This is a great hat. I wore it all day at the zoo wearing a sleeveless top. Not only did my face and neck not burn, but the hat also shielded my chest and shoulders from the sun. I think that's the first time I've not gotten burnt from being outside all day. The ponytail hole is nice so you can keep the hair off of your neck. The hat was a bit hot and I lifted it from time to time to catch a breeze on my forehead. My head did get a bit sweaty, but that's to be expected. If anything, this hat shielded my face a bit too much as the brim is right at my eyebrows. I had to physically turn my head as I had no peripheral vision. I would have preferred the hat to sit more at the crown of my head than on top.

Updated review!! Perfect for sunny days, I highly recommend!! Fits great, I tight it up little because fits little loose on me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Update on hat, every time I’ve worn it I get severe headaches and nausea it just seems to trap heat in around your face and head and I’ve had this problem twice once in Palm Springs and another in the beach seems strange. So I don’t recommend it anymore based on these circumstances and not just only how it looks (see old review below) while the idea is nice the material just doesn’t work I guess. It’s too much. I got navy blue I don’t like it I wish it was black but they didn’t have any left. Here’s a tip just make lots of black 😒 😆

I had the large, which is 58cms roughly 22 inch and fits with about half an inch spare, which is comfortable for me. I love that it covers all of my neck, and my face is very much in the shade, the pull tie is very nice, easily slips up and down, and it seems to hold the hat in place with no trouble, nothing is taking it off of my head, short of a tornado, love it. I am waiting for them to get a pink one in this style.Only took 7 days to come.

As I get skin pre-cancers on my face from the sun this hat is just what I need. It is very comfortable to wear and as it is adjustable for size, it is great for me as I have a very small head and normally can't get hats to fit.

Excellent Sun hat , delivered on time. Great value for money. Design Slightly little house on the prairie but ideal for keeping Sun stroke at bay.

Disappointing

The item arrived promptly but it’s a dark beige colour, unlike the image of creamy white shown on Amazon. The material is of poor quality and I am very dissatisfied with it.
