Our vet recommended this for our dogs wounds, which were pretty nasty, caused by a too close clipping.It was so sore and he continually scratched at it, blood everywhere. so, I consulted the vet and he recommendedthis cream. He even gave us some to start right away. Well, instant soothing, and he left it alone for about a half day,as soon as I saw him scratching again, more on, and another twelve hours of bliss (for him and me!). It also healedvery quickly and wouldn't know it was there now. I would thoroughly recommend this for any sore spots you may haveor animals, no one is excluded!!. Buy one to keep in the medicine box, just in case.
