I love my OBSBot! I use it as my main camera as my Apple display one is pretty crappy. I often get asked about which camera I use during calls because of the crisp image and great tracking functionality. Overall, I can only recommend it!

I was excited to try this camera out, as a solo streamer the tracking and scene selection from iPad/iPhone all seemed like a great idea. Whilst the product is great, there were too many issues:1. Firstly despite the infographic on the Amazon site, there is NO optical zoom on this, meaning if you zoom in, it's just performing a digital crop. This means the resulting image is no longer 4K and there doesn't appear to be any image processing to sharpen it up. This really devalues the device in my eyes2. On the iPad, the app loads in portrait mode, only switching to landscape once the camera is connected. Poor UI.3. Despite install the OBSBOT webcam app on my Mac, I kept getting an error when trying to connect. I spend my working life fixing IT issues. I just wanted it to work. In the end I had to use the HDMI output with a USB digitiser.Here's the thing - I bought this to replace my Sony ZV-E10 because I was mostly streaming with it. But without the optical zoom, I just can't get to the £499 price point being good value. The OBSBOT Me which uses your phone and has similar tracking is less than £200 meaning they're valuing the camera on this thing at over £300. It's not a £300+ camera. And so at £499 this camera is going back I'm afraid.OBSBOT - fix your software, and come up with an optical zoom version, and I'll be a customer again, even if it costs £100 more.
