Plaza Tall Rat and Hamster Cage with Three Floors, 78 x 48 x 80 cm, Silver/Black

Everything was how I pictured, very big and design looks very good. My hamster loves it, maybe as much as my cat does. My hamster has been in it now for about 5-6 months and I really couldn’t fault it. I have had it for a while as I said, however I’m still going to be ordering a few extra stuff of eBay as it needs to be filled up a little.Negatives - (that don’t matter to me but may to you)The only things that I could say is that might be bad is that the wooden floors could get ruined if you hamster urinates on them, however this is not an issue for me as my hamster has one corner where he wees and keeps his cage tidy. Another thing is before purchasing is to make sure you have a big enough wheel already because the wheel that comes with it is too small for Syrians and even dwarfs because all the species require the same needs, this wasn’t a problem for me because I already have one and the wheel i received did have a massive crack in it. Also the cage is very pricey but it is definitely worth it, lots of space for your hamster or rat or mouse so this is good also if looks very sturdy and clean.Also the fact that it didn’t come with a water bottle but I had 2 spares so make sure you have at least 1 water bottle before purchasing.Positives-Bar spacing good for all animals.Lots of space to add toys and chew toys and Boredom breakers like I haveAnother is it’s not hard to clean like people say it is, all you have to do is take off the clips and lift up the whole cage without the bottom and clean it like that. Sometimes the wooden platforms might fall down if you don’t have them lined up properly which is really fine just check after you cleaned it out because usually after cleaning sometimes it slips which could snap off and you would be able to use the wooden flooring.

Pros:-Very spacious- fits my 11 inch wheel easily and there is sooo much room for u to add toys and chews in there!-1cm bar spacing, no chance of even dwarf hamsters escaping!-Can fit the wooden levels/shelves at your preferred height, they don’t have a certain place they need to be fitted into-deep tray, I can get 6 inches of bedding in there easy, good for encouraging burrowing!-Easy to assemble for the size, took me 15 mins max-The whole of the top mesh lifts up for easy access to the whole of the cageCons:-the 2 side clips that keep the base and the cage attached together are very loose and they don’t latch securely, I still need to buy more clips for it which is not really an issue.-the 2 small access doors on the front of the cage were loose, a hamster could easily push them open, but they can be adjusted by bending the hook round more to make it tighter-it can be difficult to clean because u have to take the ladder off the first level and remove the carved wooden hideout that attaches to the first level so that u can remove the entire cage off the base and place it on the floor properly. I’ve taking the carved wooden hideout off of the first level altogether because with it on u cannot place the cage sturdily on the floor. Without it makes it a lot easier all u have to do if u want to have a deep clean out of the base is in-hook the side clips, take the first ladder away, lift the cage part and place on the floor without the need to remove anything else out of the cage!-be aware the levels/ladders are untreated wood and may soak up urine but plastic shelves can be bought :)-the 6 inch exercise wheel it came with is far too small for any pet- promotes bending of the spine and back problems, even dwarf hamsters will require a larger wheel (dwarf hamsters ideal is 8” and Syrian ideal is anywhere between 10”-12”)Overall I highly recommend this cage for any species of hamster, rats and mice :)

I bought this for my female Syrian hamster and it is a great size, providing plenty of space for running around and it also fit her very large wheel at the bottom!The top of the cage opens up and is great for cleaning and easy access to feed and water your pet. There are also two small doors, one at the bottom and the top of the cage to get the pet out.I am very impressed with this cage, it arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition! Was easy to assemble.

(Triple floor) Absolutely awful cage for rats. The 2 access doors at the front are really tiny and do not close properly, so the rats are escaping. We’ve been holding the doors shut with garden ties but it’s such a pain to have to tie and untie every time we need access! Because the doors are so tiny, if you need to put anything in or take anything out, it’s impossible! Yes the top of the cage does open, but it’s a massive drop to the bottom! Plus, if you have the cage on top of something, you’d have to stand on a chair to open the top anyway!The clips that hold the base to the sides clipped well at first, but now are loose after only one unclipping for cleaning.When you remove the top to clean the base, it all starts to fall apart and shelves fly everywhere. If you need to clean the shelves it’s really difficult because of the tiny doors! Again, Using the top door is too tall to reach every part of the cage.The wooden ramps are very slippy and already we’ve had a couple of rats fall off!Urine soaks into the wood (we have baby rats) so is already really smelly.The wheel it comes with is only really adequate for a very tiny hamster.It is a nice big cage, looks nice and I could perhaps cope with it if it had a large door in the front that actually closed securely! But it’s just not practical. If something takes over half an hour to clean and adjust toys around, it’s not worth it!!

Käfig ist einfach zusammen zu bauen allerdings empfiehlt es sich tatsächlich zu zweit zu sein.Bei uns lebt nur eine Ratte in dem Käfig und ich finde es gerade ausreichende weil unser Tier auch sonst noch frei Lauf bekommt.Leider kam ein Brett ohne Löcher für die Treppe an. Insgesamt finde ich die Bretter zu dünn und wackelig. Ich würde mir wünschen dass für so einen Preis die Bretter deutlich bessere Qualität haben.Näpfe /Haus und das Rad sind wirklich nur für kleine Hamster geeignet finde ich.Unsere Ratte hat noch nicht kaputt genagt.Käfig ist leicht zu reinigen und dafür gibts5 *

Von den Maßen ist der Käfig nicht für eine dauerhafte Haltung geeignet. Ich nutze ihn für Ratten die krank sind und ein wenig Ruhe brauchen oder aber der Hauptkäfig gereinigt wird. Käfig kam super verpackt an und ist leicht auf und wieder abzubauen. Kann ihn für die oben genannten Zwecke nur empfehlen.
