This is not the Malo that did it....back in the day.New members have keep it alive for me with a fewtracks on this disc. I paid the freight for a usedcopy.....Glad I did!...The bass line on "Ghetto Man"is a real groove. Other cuts had the sound I enjoy.Latin Rock is the usual moniker attached to this style.Santana's brother Jorge, was....the original guitarist.I don't see his name in the credits any longer. Changes!Some good work here....give it a spin.....

Great great cd. Some songs I never heard . If you like " Malo" you will love this one.

Have always enjoyed this band when they were around and wanted to keep a copy of this album. Always love hearing it without getting tired of the songs. Came to me in perfect condition.

MALO, latin rock giants from San Francisco.The band did four albums in the early seventies and disbanded, some time later, reformed. Very big in the USA with tours and local gigs, this album was released in 1995. lf like me, you already have known Malo, then this album will blow your head off with its sheer joy of rhythum, amazing new lead vocal work by new member Martin Cantu and body tingling guitar pieces, whilst the ever present, highlighted and bold brass work ,will delight your backbone with shivvers. The music keeps the past ties with the old Malo too, whilst moving on into a more mellow and sophisticated sound.If howver, this is your first time with Malo, give yourself plenty of time to get into this album which is wall to wall padded with incredible sounds within the songs, they take time to emerge and stand bold, but once you have it, like a 3-d picture of music in your head, it will not let go and will occupy your brain cellsit is in short a fabulous album, still so new and fresh even., seven years old. l can not believe that Malo can stop now,there must be more albums on the way somewhen. l have followed Malo for 30years and it is now only through Amazon that l have been able to enjoy their new album.
