First thing I try to use the manual to assist was rebuilding the carburator, but it wasn't listed in that section.

Glad we can still find these here, its a life saver..but you know its a hanes manual

Clear concise instructions with photos, drawings and descriptions. What more is there to ask? Covers several years and component groups. It's a must-have if you're working on Sprites of any kind.

The manual itself is fine. It is lacking key details that are supplemented well with the Austin Healey Sprite Workshop manual. This manual was not sufficiently detailed for the shade tree mechanic. Conversely, the Workshop manual also was inadequate in some respects. I actually purchased both and found that between the two I had the references needed to execute the repairs needed. Neither manual had enough detail alone to remove and replace rear axles, brakes, and differential.

I always buy a Haynes Repair Manual when I buy a classic car as they are the best repair manual outside of the manufacturer's repair manual.

Haynes manuals are virtually must-have possessions for anyone with a car old enough to make strange sounds.Anyone who already knows a thing or two about cars or mechanical engineering will have no problem following the descriptions, but for a complete beginner (such as myself) some of it might take some further research (via the net or asking someone), and I would have welcomed a few more photos of parts etc. It's still well worth the price though, providing not only descriptions on how to take apart and put back together again the pieces for all the models of midget, UK and US, and easy to follow wiring diagrams, but also sections on fault diagnosis and tips on maintenance.

It was in quite good condition very helpful as just been doing work on brakes and ignition system.Very good value old tech mechanical information basically saves on garage bills as it’s DIY

Very detailed instruction manual with photographs to assist in the completion of the required task, bit of a life saver really.

Good priced product (as usual). Needed this in order to renovate MG Midget and arrived quickly after ordering. Is now covered in oily fingermarks!!
