I work in a hospital and admit I made fun of people coming to ER for ingrown toenails- till I had one. So unbelievably painful and affected how I walked. I did buy a treatment at Wally World to soften the skin first for a good few days. Then I went into mini surgery with these tools. Was able to release the offender - so important to not trim nail too short like I did or it will just happen again. Sometimes I feel pressure in the same spot if I trim nails a bit too short but I just use the file one and I am good. I didn’t have to admit my self into ER but I will never make fun of anyone that gets these ingrown toenails again. It takes a bit of learning as well. Cause sometimes the offender is buried or has separated from main nail. It’s a clever tool to help you get to it. Worth every penny. P.S. please do go emergency room if signs of infection!

To me, ingrown toenails are usually just a nuisance.Walking barefoot and stubbing an ingrown nail on something immovable can embed the nail deep into the skin ... Ouch.These tools work well to get to the nail, shorten it and file off sharp corners, giving the skin room and time to heal.Thanks.

The slightly curved toenail file be able to reach deeper in between, it solved problem being very helpful!

I'd always imagined that there MUST be a way to properly prevent/treat ingrown toenails, especially as I age and the nails naturally thicken. I quickly figured out that toenail clippers wouldn't work. Then I read an article by a foot doctor, showing how to use a similar product. I was hooked.These two toenail files remind me of my dental hygiene instruments. They are similar in size, design, and sharpness. I suspect they may be made from carbon steel--a very hard material. The tips are tiny and fit perfectly under the nail. Soak the feet for 10 minutes before using. It's too hard to describe technique verbally, so I suggest you check out videos on the subject.
