Repeat Purchase of this Quality Tea
Really quick delivery by seller and well packaged. This is a repeat purchase of this Single Estate Orange Pekoe Ceylon, which probably says it all - a first class tea at a good price point. Supermarkets only seem interested in stocking dreadful teabags full of dust., so for proper loose leaf tea nowadays not much choice but to seek it out online. I am afraid I am old enough to think back to when loose leaf tea and tea pots was the default and tea bags were an inferior convenience item. They still are an inferior convenience item - with a taste that is all bag and no tea. So well done NIKO tea for not only offering a quality tea, but also backing that with a pleasingly fast delivery service. This tea is a subtle, light and very refreshing Ceylon, with a well balance flavour. I was grateful for the couple of sample packs that were also sent with my order. The Delightful Ceylon I have already opened and tried the sample - another very good tea, stronger than the Single Estate Orange Pekoe with more tannin, but still quality. The second sample the Cinnamon Orange, which again I have opened the pack, it looks absolutely lovely and smells heavenly - from this alone it looks really good, but this more aromatic flavoured tea is not really my thing, so I will give this to my daughter when she next visits to try as she likes this sort of tea and I am sure she will appreciate the quality.I recommend NIKKO Ceylon Teas, I don't think you will be disappointed. Tea is very personal, so read the descriptions to pick one that suits your palate.

great tea - amazing service and value
Next day delivery even though it's not on Prime which is great. Lovely taste - not to overbearing, very refreshing. Can be brewed longer if you want a stronger taste. Lovely big tea leaves and no powder which is always a big plus with fresh tea. Will definitely be buying again as such good value for a great taste. They send out a sample pack of another tea as well so you can try before you buy - will definitely be getting some different flavours as well although I always seem to go back to the plain one!

Good Buy
The filter in my new teapot was too large a mesh to deal with the fannings in my breakfast tea so I found this product and I decided to treat myself. I am now on my second pack. It is a lovely tea with a great flavour and well worth the extra cost. Delivery has been prompt although Niko are not too far from me and a small sample pack of their other tea is included with the goods. To get the full flavour of this tea do try drinking it black and unsugared. Love it.

This Rhuna Orange Pekoe was not the usual standard
I purchased this tea prior to Covid interrupting supply and it was always good quality but this batch was at least 50% stalks not leaves. I made a pot and it was tasteless, when I examined the spent leaves the reason was clear, it's as though the tea has been harvested with a hedge trimmer rather than the leaves picked by hand. NIKO was apologetic and has issued a refund

robust and good value
Large fully oxidised leaves, quite complex aromas. Brews a robust and malty cup that compares with many Assams. There is some astringency and green notes when drunk without milk. This tea isn't subtle, but there is a lot of flavour and it is good value.

Fabulous tea!
Single estate Orange Pekoe purchased, and arrived with a free sample of Delightful Ceylon. Both are medium strength teas, with the Delightful Ceylon having a slightly sweeter natural taste. The teas are wrapped in foil lined paper, fully resealable and pretty air-tight once sealed. The tea itself is very smooth and refreshing, I'm not a tea expert so can't describe the taste in a Masterchef way, but it is very close to the tea I purchased from a plantation in Sri Lanka about 5 years ago, and I'm delighted. Will definitely but both again in the future.

Feeling a bit silly about my previous review - this tea is great!
I wrote rather a negative review about this tea earlier but the nice tea people sent me another bag to try: Assam flavour.Unused as I am to loose leaf tea, I am now a dab hand at making it properly and letting it steep. Not only is the Assam tea absolutely delicious, I have now changed my mind about the delicate, refreshing taste of Orange Pekoe.I think I can safely give both of these teas a five star rating as I am a complete convert.

amazing value
Ruhuna ceylons often add a little more malty depth - nothing like an Assam, but a more rounded flavour than other sri Lankan teas. This is no exception. The leaf quality is good. Clean, non-dusty, well processed. The faintest hint of distant spice on the nose. Really quite good, and exceptionally well priced at 13.64 currently for 0.5kg
