It works okay but I am not sure it's really accurate! I bought it for my pregnant dog, but it reads the same temperature all the time even when it should have dropped before, she gave birth to her puppies!

Edited: I received excellent customer service from this seller. After sharing my concerns about the accuracy, they replaced the thermometer and this new one works great. Seems fast and accurate.Original review: My dog is going through cancer treatment, so I need to have a reliable thermometer to monitor that she doesn't get an infection while her white blood cells are decreased. As soon as this arrived, I read the included instructions and tried testing it in heated water against two other thermometers I had on-hand (one being a kitchen thermometer, and the other being a human thermometer). This pet thermometer was about 2 degrees F less than the other two, making it unreliable for my needs. I repeated the test about 4 times over the course of an hour, and the results were always off.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had an issue with mine. I emailed support and heard back quickly. After some troubleshooting they immediately replaced the unit free of charge or shipping. The new unit works perfectly. Great support is rare these days. Thank you!

EDITED 3/9I am changing my original 1 start review to a 3 simply because of the superior customer service I received upon the company learning about my dissatisfaction with the product. They truly are standing behind their product and putting their customers first, and are sending me another thermometer. I will come back to edit this review yet again if I have a better experience with the product itself, but the company customer service is above and beyond.I purchased two of these and they both stopped working after just a few uses. The first one I thought maybe it was just a defect, and it’s cheap enough that I didn’t mind purchasing another one. But the second one had been used a total of 3 times before it stopped working and wouldn’t turn on again. I also don’t know why some reviews say that it gives a fast reading because it absolutely does not. It takes about 15-20 seconds to give the reading which is a long time trying to hold a dog in position and have them not move. Look elsewhere.
